Helena’s fierce sensuality is not under wraps in the fashion story. Clearly her plunges into icy cold water are paying off.
"A dip in some cold water boosts oestrogen and testosterone production, adding an edge to fertility and libido," the Danish supermodel wrote on social media alongside a video of her going for a cold water swim.
"The benefits of increased libido include more confidence, higher self-esteem, and enhanced mood. The heart has to pump faster in cold water and the body must work harder to keep everything warm."
Christensen admits that she didn’t start working out until her 30s, due to her supermodel schedule. Today her favorites are boxing and pole-dancing, which has been very hard for her.
Perhaps her height works against her, Helena says. But she considers the pole-dancing “so beautiful to watch” that she is determined to master it.
Christensen was one of the original Victoria’s Secret Angels, a topic under consideration in advance of the Victoria’s Secret book arriving in October and for which Anne is a contributor.
In the battle to control women’s bodies, the sensual woman firepower of these VS models, some of them Angels, stands in sharp contrast to issues facing American women today.
AOC reflected on the original emotional resonance of VS in our Victoria’s Secret ‘Dream Lingerie’ August 2024 analysis.
