Andreas Ortner Captures Bibi Abdulkadir for Vogue Portugal's Spring Blossoms Issue 2024

The March 2024 ‘Blossom’ issue of Vogue Portugal [IG] is devoted to flowers and related natural beauties. Editor-in-chief Sofia Lucas explains the importance of blooms at this time in human history.

“Flowers have a long history of dazzling humanity, with their splendor and symbolism. They bloom in spring and fade in autumn, to remind us how ephemeral life is and — above all — that it must be lived.”

The arrival of spring, symbolized in fresh blossoms, is about so much more than fragrant blooms. It’s also about new trends, new opportunities, new growth, new loves and more, writes Lucas.

In the fashion story, model Bibi Abdulkadir is styled by Elke Dostal, who chooses curvaceous, sculptural forms in rough elegance fabrics to accentuate the artistic nature of the fashion statement.
