The prodigious inner vision of Zhong Lin [IG] often leaves me very, very quiet, and this is one of those moments. Discovering her beauty story ‘Dysmorphie’ for Revue Magazine [IG] just now became a game of cat and mouse.

We gathered new images in four locations, arriving each time thinking we knew where ‘Dysmorphie’ was going . . . until we stopped trying. There are layers of visual storytelling going on here. I just ‘saw’ another layer, so I’m on three now.

When you have the limitless capacity for creative visual expression possessed by the self-taught Zhong Lin, there is no final destination, until she enters the next dimension. People like me should understand that she’s the cat and I’m the mouse . . . just along for the ride.
