Lulu Tenney Fronts Spring 2024 Dolce & Gabbana Retro, Rarified Sophistication
/Model Lulu Tenney is dishing major model moves and a bold, Hollywood attitude in two new Dolce & Gabbana campaigns for pre-spring 2024.
Tenney is styled by Karl Templer in fabulous, color-saturated print dresses and a cat suit that rivals Pucci, lensed by Steven Meisel [IG].
We only can hope for more images like this — and for some of today’s models taking notes. Tenney reminds us of early Karlie Kloss — like 2011 or so. The girl is delivering big-time. If Irving Penn was alive, he’d book Lulu Tenney in a 30-second minute.
We also shared Lulu Tenney’s Massimo Dutti’s Winter Cotswold 2024 campaign today. Writing about British history in the Cotswolds and early Neolithic peoples in what is now Britain, Lulu made quite an impression in those images as well. But in both these divine colorful print images and the black and whites that follow, Tenney’s got game. . . big game.
Dolce & Gabbana DNA Collection
In this new Dolce & Gabbana DNA Collection, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have delivered timeless wardrobe pieces for strong-minded women. The designs are both unusually simple for the designers but obviously sophisticated in their modern execution.
At its core, the collection embodies three fundamental concepts that define Dolce & Gabbana: Sicilian flair, expert tailoring, and inherent sensuality. The color palette of Nero Sicilia black and optical white predominates, paired with vibrant colors that evoke the vivid landscape and rich culture of Sicily.
Dolce & Gabbana Explore ‘50s Italian Neorealism
Looking at Vogue, there are images of Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda Eleganza Italian collection, shown a few days ago. It’s straight out of the Italian Neorealism of the ‘50s, outrageously retro and very sophisticated glamour. Love it!
Returning to this post, the imagery rolling into Spring 2024 with Lulu Tenney styled by Karl Templer in images by Steven Meisel is perfect for this new Dolce & Gabbana direction.
In its entirety, we’re looking at an unusually strong and cohesive fashion statement from Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
