Kidman Has a Past: the Miu Miu Micro Mini

Nicole Kidman took a lot of you know what on social media, posing in Miu Miu’s micro mini on the cover of Vanity Fair’s February 2022 Hollywood Isssue. Forget the fact that Kidman put 80% of the population wearing the mini to shame. I know it’s verbotin to discuss body and health these days — vanity projects are cancelled — but Nicole Kidman, age 55, is damn proud of her ripped body and she’s not backing down.

“I BEGGED to wear that Miu Miu micro mini,” Kidman told anyone who would listen in March. Sweet young things of all sizes weren’t having it — insisting that Nicole Kidman grow up and act her age.

Here’s one little sample: “Nicole Kidman is incredible but this styling is terrible. I’m shocked she agreed to this,” one person commented. While another said: “Sorry school girl look , not a good look at her age please 🤯.”

BTW, the results for Miu Miu were indescribable, from a business perspective. Nicole Kidman put Miu Miu back on the map as a brand, and Miuccia Prada will be the first to confirm that fact.

Nicole Kidman Is Unfazed

Well, Nicole Kidman didn’t get the message, and hell hath no fury like Nicole Kidman being told she insulted women over 30 worldwide by wearing that damn Miu Miu skirt. Is she trying to give 90% of women of every age a complex? Aren’t they taking enough anti-depressants already, and now a 55-year-old woman pulls this stunt? What is she — a slut? A demonic woman seeking revenge?

“CANCEL KIDMAN"!!! She’s worse than Madonna,” the Greek chorus roared.

“Let them have fits” is my mantra. AOC is done with cancel culture, and Kidman clearly fancies herself as a leader of the rebellion.

It’s a fact that Zhong Lin photographed the biggest fashion story of the year at AOC in 2022. I’d like to think that my narrative and additional research into Meisel’s famous ‘Oil and Water’ comparison had something to do with that fact. While Kidman’s pictures are very different, they are equally compelling. Nicole gives Zhong Lin a lot to work with — but these Perfect Magazine images are pure artistry — a known fact to this very talented photographer who just added ‘Heat Wave’ images next to Kidman’s on IG.

See, great minds run on the same track. And the lead image is an outtake. But I knew immediately, it was from ‘Heat Wave’, which is about sustainability, not beach queens in Miami. The story IS very sensual — sadly sensual given the topic at hand, which was global warming.

So AOC shares many of the images and I’ll surely report back with more response to the fashion story and Kidman’s ripped body. Something tells me that the CANCEL HER COURT will have plenty to say about this masterpiece of female power and brilliance.
