Coincidentally, both Sweden and Finland are expected to join NATO as early as this summer.

The Guardian reports that Moscow has warned that the Nordic nations’ accession would “not bring stability” to Europe. After watching Russia’s reckless assault on Ukraine, and the extraordinary suffering of the Ukraine people broadcast daily around the globe with total clarity, “public support for Nato membership has almost doubled since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, to about 50% in Sweden and 60% in Finland, multiple opinion polls suggest.”

There is no doubt in Scandinavia that Moscow has no respect for neutrality. Putin’s war machine will be coming for them next. Note that Norway has been a member of NATO since its inception, as is Denmark.

As for the screwed up state of America’s politics, ‘Better Off Red’ doesn’t fly at AOC. Many Trumpers from red states are aligned with Moscow and Putin, here in my own country.
