Hailey Bieber Has Big Exposure in Surveillance Theme of Perfect Magazine #2
/Top talent Hailey Bieber is both subject and object with the camera in the second issue of The Perfect Magazine, a project of Bryan Yambao, Katie Grand and Murray Healy. Simon Robins styles Hailey with hair by Teddy Charles and set design by Cooper Vasquez.
“We wanted to tackle the idea of celebrity in an age of mass surveillance — specifically, how our relationship with public figures has changed when the details of our own lives are increasingly accessible to people we don’t know,” Grand wrote in the editor’s letter.
Two photographers claim credit for the shoot, without mentioning each other on IG or models.com — which is highly unusual. We’ve never see it, frankly.
Clearly both Donovan Smallwood [IG] and Felix Cooper [IG] are involved in the shoot and their images of Hailey are same fashion and set, but not poses.
Donovan’s team posted higher res single images and Cooper’s lower res doubles. Cooper’s lower quality images don’t fly on AOC, so you’re only seeing Smallwood’s.
Neither Hailey’s nor The Perfect Magazine IG mention the shoot, so we’re on to the next topic. People have been known to complain about not getting fair coverage on AOC’s tightly-curated, highest-quality presentation. Let no one raise a digital finger on this one.
We intended to update readers on Hailey’s health condition after her small stroke. But we’re outta time. Zip it, Anne. Nobody needs to hear your opinions on the matter. ~ Anne
