Anya Taylor-Joy Headlines Harper's Bazaar UK Women of the Year by George Antoni
/Actor Anya Taylor-Joy tells Harper’s Bazaar UK’s Frances Hedges that her makeup for the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa is the “juciest and bloodiest” of any she has worn in a movie.
“It will take me the full two years before the movie comes out to even begin to process what I just left 12 days ago. [Furiosa] was the most life-changing experience that I’ve ever had, with such talented artists. I really felt like I grew so much, but yes, it’s wild. It’s utterly unique,” Taylor-Joy told The Hollywood Reporter in another new interview.

Leaving her birthplace of Miami to spend her early years in Argentina, Taylor-Joy fell in love with horses as a young girl. Speaking of the Harper’s photo shoot, the actor exclaimed: "That horse is my new obsession. I fell in love with him the second we locked eyes across the paddock – I was like, 'Hello! We’re gonna be friends for life'."
The Queen’s Gambit star is seen now in The Menu, alongside Nicholas Hoult, one of seven movies she’s made since February 2020. Rotten Tomatoes writes the The Menu is “more food for thought than your average glossy fall thriller tends to offer. If the film's raison d'etre is to show up the vapidity of modern art, then it produces no argument better than itself. Dumb but delicious, The Menu is a feast for the senses, if not the brain.”
