The model chats with Noelle De Leeuw about her aspirations — several quite clear from a young age. Asked by her agent at age 17, Rianne was clear about her dreams: a magazine cover, a Hollywood movie. “And maybe after that,” she recalls answering, “I’ll start a restaurant.”

Speaking about her dramatic start in the fashion business — which was walking Nicolas Ghesquière’s debut show at Louis Vuitton at age 18 — Rianne reflects: “I went from this high school kid to being on top of the industry within one day, basically.”

Aware of her privilege, Rianne works hands-on with VluchtelingenWerk Nederland [Refugee Work Netherlands] to assist new refugees in the Netherlands.
