On the topic of animal fur vs faux fur, the last two brands of luxury group Kering to use animal fur — Yves Saint Laurent and Brioni — are also ending their use of fur with the fall 2022 collection. As of Friday September 24, the entire Kering luxury brand family will be fur free.

A pioneer within the group, Gucci announced in October 2017 that it would stop the use of fur in spring 2018. Gucci was joined by Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen. Now the Kering commitment is complete.
