Antoinette Benders [IG] is Senior Vice-President-Professional Global Artistry. of Aveda. BLOEM is a Dutch word for flower. It’s also the name of Aveda’s new plant-based hair-color collection defined by dramatic, bold-flowers — showstoppers — hues. Models cast in gorgeous imagery include Elizabeth Black, Patricia Akello and Shaanti Chaitram. Anna Katsanis styles the three beauties in images by Andrew Yee. [IG] / Makeup by Walter Obal

Aveda products are not only plant-based, but they are exclusively vegan. To hone this message with even more conviction, these bold images and related flowers are the backdrop for Aveda’s upcoming Aveda Congress 2021. The global conference scheduled for September 26-27 has regretfully decided to go exclusively digital due to COVID — but they are seducing attendance with a gorgeous website and a full schedule of workshops. In today’s world, most professionals are flexible on the topic “change of plans.”
