Pop star Dua Lipa fronts Versace’s Fall -Winter 2021 campaign, inspiring Donatella Versace to exclaim on Instagram: “I can’t tell you how excited and thankful I am to have you as the star of my next campaign. The world is not ready for how GORGEOUS you look in these images! I love you,”

In this private snap of Donatella and Dua Lipa, the designer describes herself as “levitating” the day of the shoot. ‘Levitating’ is the official lyric video for Dua Lipa’s second studio album ‘Future Nostalgia’.

Lipa is sporting her new shade of red hair requested by Donatella as a symbol of passion and strength.

WWD confirms the Versace firebrand has a deep connection to the pop star. Donatella was attracted to “the way she speaks”, adding . . . “She hasn’t had it easy, she has fought for what she believed in and for what she has achieved.”

“She reminds me of women in the south of Italy, she leads, she is not led,” said the designer, who herself is a southerner, hailing from Calabria.
