EIC Norman Tan elevates the work of the Vogue Singapore Foundation and its mission to elevate Singapore’s creative scene to the global stage. The Foundation — which individuals can also support — will recognize each year three creatives from various fields in the fashion ecosystem that include photographers, 3D animators, designers, and technical innovators in sustainable production methods.
The Vogue Singapore Foundation will also offer a mentorship program, previously nonexistent in the local space that loves and supports luxury fashion brands without creating very many from the region. Read on about the foundation’s efforts in the Singapore region.
In the Vogue Singapore March 2021 Prada fashion story, photographer Leslie Zhang “transformed Liu into a theatrical muse, shifting shapes in a dreamy cover story inspired by iconic Chinese literature—including ‘Moonlight over the Lotus Pond’ by Zhu Ziqing, ‘A Waterfall of Purple Wisteria Vines’ by Zong Pu and ‘April Rhapsody’ by Lin Huiyin. The cover also features a striking ‘Creativity’ seal, a modern reinterpretation of traditional Chinese seals created by Jiahui Tan from award-winning Singapore design consultancy, Fable.”
