Riccardo Tisci is a man who loves women, growing up in a female-centric family in Italy. AOC loves Tisci and always has, and we're THRILLED that Tisci is headed to Burberry as its chief creative officer. Tisci will be responsible for all of the brand's women's and men's wear collections, accessories, store design and advertising/marketing campaigns, with his launch date March 12.
Tisci will replace Christopher Bailey, who left Burberry after 17 years during February's London Fashion Week.
“I am delighted that Riccardo is joining Burberry. He is one of the most talented designers of our time,” Marco Gobbetti, Burberry’s chief executive, said in a statement following the appointment. “His designs have an elegance that is contemporary and his skill in blending streetwear with high fashion is highly relevant to today’s luxury consumer. Riccardo’s creative vision will reinforce the ambitions we have for Burberry and position the brand firmly in luxury.”

White House Communications Director Hope Hicks Resigns Day After House Intel Committee Testimony
White House communications director Hope Hicks, a close ally of President Trump who has successfully managed his personality, has resigned. Hicks, a brief model and member of Ivanka Trump's fashion pr business team , comes a day after she testified for eight hours before the House Intelligence Committee. A major soundbite from the Hicks testimony was her vague admission that she has occasionally been required to tell white lies, in her work with the Trump administration. Hicks previously met for two days of interviews in December with special counsel Robert Mueller and his team.

The latest Adidas by Pharrell Williams Hu Holi Blank collection is inspired by the spiritual Holi Festival, one of the most famous celebrations in North-Eastern India, when people gather to celebrate the victory of the good over the bad, as well as marking the beginning of spring. Participants throw colored powders in the air to express their freedom and to bring color into their lives.
The campaign was shot by Viviane Sassen with styling by Jay Massacret. Models include Jeenu Mahadevan, Malik Jalloh, Radhika Nair and more.

Krista Smith enjoys roast chicken Chez Jennifer Lawrence, interviewing for Vanity Fair the world's highest-paid female actor about her upcoming role as a Russian prima ballerina turned Soviet operative Dominika Egorova in 'Red Sparrow'. Lawrence protested vociferously about doing her nude scene, arguing that she has never recovered from the 2014 Internet theft of nude photos intended for her then boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. (Note that the man responsible for the crime was prosecuted and sentenced to 18 mos in prison.)
Lawrence finally conceded that the nude scene in 'Red Sparrow' was essential to the film's plot line, and ultimately her decision was empowering in her words, thanks to her long-time friend, the film's director France Lawrence (no relation). Basically Lawrence looked Lawrence in the eye as the scene was being filmed -- not in the t-ts (my word).
The Smith-Lawrence convo got extra interesting once the topic turned to politics.
“I’ve always thought that it was a good idea to stay out of politics,” says Lawrence. “Twenty-five percent of America identifies as liberal and I need more than 25 percent of America to go see my movies. It’s not wise, career-speaking, to talk about politics. When Donald Trump got sworn into office, that fucking changed.”

Kaia Gerber Makes First Luxury Brand Campaign Move With Chanel Handbags S/S 2018 Campaign
Rising model Kaia Gerber has landed her first Chanel campaign at age 16, taking another major career step in the brand's new spring 2018 handbag campaign. Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld captures Kaia lounging at Coco Chanel's Parisian apartment with the 11.12, Gabrielle and Boy Chanel bags. Lagerfeld also announced that Kaia will collaborate with his eponymous label on its fall collection.
