Steven Meisel Captures 54 Models For Versace Clans Fall 2018 Campaign
"My team doesn't just extend to my work team," said Donatella Versace in an official statement about her massive Fall 2018 ad campaign, lensed by Steven Meisel. "The Versace Clans are made of all members of the Versace family — from customers to models, fans, photographers, stylists, friends, artists and all who believe that staying relevant means moving forward and making your voice heard — all who believe that fashion is not a way to just say 'look at me' but rather 'look at me, I have something to say.'"
A whopping 54 models were cast for the campaign, ranging from new kids to longtime Versace muses. The list includes Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Iman Hammam, Vittoria Ceretti, Adut Akech, Stella Maxwell, Grace Elizabeth, Lexi Boling, Natalie Westling, Fei Fei Sun, Hiandra Martinez, Julia Nobis and more, more, more. Jacob K was in charge of styling; Pat McGrath worked on makeup; Guido Palau was on hair.

Halima Aden is interviewed in Teen Vogue who accompanied her to the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya where she was born and lived for seven years. In addition to participating in the first TEDx event ever in a refugee camp, Halima also learned that she was named a UNICEF ambassador. Her TEDx video has not yet posted but we covered her trip with another video made by Teen Vogue.

"People talk about 'these are such dark times', but what if we shift the paradigm? Because I see it differently,” she asserts. “I see, 'Isn't this remarkable that we're waking up?' For years, women have endured craziness. This is what's happening to people. They're allowing themselves to not just become corroded, but to become hysterical. You've got to lean to the happiness."
