Willy Vanderperre Captures CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC FW2018 New World Democracy
To promote the Fall Winter 2018 CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC runway collection, Chief Creative Officer Raf Simons released an otherworldly session with regular collaborator Willy Vanderperre, who created futuristic images starring Lulu Tenney, Julia Nobis, Freja Beha, Liya Kebede, Erin O’Connor, Fernando Albaladejo, and Luca Lemaire. Olivier Rizzo styled the innovative shoot captured in Utah.
In talking about the Fall 2018 collection, Raf Simons, Chief Creative Officer for CALVIN KLEIN, described it as an "allegory for a meeting of old worlds and new worlds, relating to the discovery of America, the 1960s Space Race, and the twenty-first century information age. Reflecting the notion of democracy, there is no cultural hierarchy: the mixes emancipate clothing and references from their meanings, from their own narratives, and collage them to discover something different – a different dream.”

Iris Apfel Makes a Vivid Impression In Luis Monteiro Images For Vogue Portugal August 2018
New York native Iris Apfel found the blazing limelight late in life -- not her 50s or 60s or even 70s. Apfel was in her 80s before she began popping up everywhere, and her distinctive, male bird of paradise style (females are notably less colorful in the animal world) caught the attention of New York's inner fashion circle.
Iris Apfel became the first living person not a fashion designer to have an exhibition dedicated to her at the Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 2015, Iris Apfel and her beloved, now-departed from earth husband of almost 70 years Carl, got the documentary treatment in the Albert Maysles film 'Iris'. Many believe that iris and Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele got together in another life.

Not many people say they are addicted to fear: to the surge of adrenaline that surges through mind and body when a person is sure she can't do something but steps off the cliff anyway. "I love feeling terrified, I love it when I think I can’t pull it off this time," Robbie tells Gavanndra Hodge, who writes. "It is this compulsion that made her — then a 23-year-old unknown — unexpectedly slap Leonardo DiCaprio in the face during her screen test for Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street (the slap got her the job)."
Robbie doesn't regret regret any of her movie roles, but she is increasingly aware of the social impact of her characters. ‘It is a weird thing, having a profile,’ she says, becoming quiet for the first (and only) time during our conversation. ‘It is hard because I would never have got to this position if I was trying to censor everything I did. I would never have an impact on anyone if I played perfect characters.’
