Honolulu-born Nicole Kidman had a dual mission in her Vogue Australia photo shoot, posing for photographer Will Davidson at the iconomic Australian landmark Uluru, marking 30 years since the Australian Government returned Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to it original owners, the Anangu people.
Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Edwina McCann said she hoped that Nicole’s editorial would encourage tourists to visit the Northern Territory and national park. “People always ask me where they should go in Australia: now I’m going to say Uluru.” She added, “I’m enraptured by it. I’ve always been drawn to the landscape, and I do think there’s something … the energy and the light … it’s just a very, very magical, special place.”
Many Australians consider Uluru to be the spiritual heart of Australia.
Nicole Kidman is a long-time spokesperson for women’s rights, empowered in her role as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. Meeting with the women of the local Mutitjulu community, the actor said “The constant need is to keep educating.”
At 5’11’, Nicole stood tall over the local Mutitjulu women, dressed in black dresses and traditional body paint as they performed a special women’s ceremony for the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.

Breaking news reports say that one of Cecil’s eight cubs has been killed by another male lion. Reports just published in the UK say:
“Lions practice infanticide – the male looking to take over and mate with the three lionesses would have crushed the cub’s skull as he looked to stake his claim.
“The lionesses fended off his advances but it is unlikely they can continue to protect the cubs for much longer.”
“Jericho has now taken over another pride and has been seen with other females,” a source at the park confirmed.
“We don’t know if Jericho would return to help the cubs if they were attacked again
