Japanese actor and fashion model Rila Rukushima joins Vogue Australia's September 2017 trip to Japan, lensed by talented, Boston-born photographer Jackie Nickerson. The artist -- and she is -- has a specific interest in identity and how we are all affected by our environment and in our shared social and psychological experiences. Nickerson has maintained an arms-length relationship with the fashion industry, preferring to live in Africa and Ireland, and also South Korea.
