Reports are spreading quickly that the royal baby is a girl and she will be named Diana in honor of the Princess’ dedicated philanthropic activities.

The Prince Charles - Diana, Princess of Wales — marriage is the subject of a new book claiming that both parties wanted to call off the pending marriage, up to the very moment they walked down the aisle at Westminster Cathedral.

The Daily Beast recently interviewed Princess Diana’s brother Earl Spencer, who thinks his sister saved the monarchy. Speaking of his nephews Prince William and Prince Harry, Spencer says:

“I think that they are unbelievable ambassadors for the country and also for their mother. So the legacy that she left, from fine mothering, is very evident in both of her sons… Given the popularity of William and Harry, and William’s family, I could see it going on for another hundred years.”
