Top photographer Elizaveta Porodina [IG] explains that sharing her first encounter and collaboration with artist, muse and friend Britt Liberg with Modern Weekly Style’s [IG] November 2024 represents a true milestone in their story, one that will be revealed in time. / Hair by Yumiko Hikage

Porodina’s feature on the Dutch performance artist and designer Liberg, whose work celebrates the moving body, is timed to coincide with the opening of the photographer’s exhibition ‘Un/Masked’ in Fotografiska Shanghai [IG], The Contemporary Museum of Photography, Art & Culture.

On the preview day, Porodina herself led a dynamic tour for Shanghai’s art and culture aficionados, guiding them step into her varied emotional landscapes. “Life, the world, and yourself are in constant flux. There is a constant flow, constant change, constant shakeups. It is unsettling, it is strange, yet it is beautiful. Through my images, I‘m trying to hold still for a moment, capture certain moments of beauty, certain moments of terror, certain moments of being unsettled and make sense of it.”
