Late in 2022, Serena Williams launched her wellness brand ‘Will Perform’, with an initial focus on recovery essentials for pain relief and sore muscles. The clean, cruelty-free, topical pain relief and daily muscle-care solutions are designed to reimagine recovery from demanding exercise routines.

Serena seeks to “revolutionize” what it means to recover after a tough workout, working with her partners Hank Mercier, co-founder and CEO of Will Perform, and Eric Ryan, an entrepreneur with deep experience in launching consumer brands.

Will Perform has five products that span four categories: WILL Relieve, WILL Cool, WILL Rest, and WILL Soothe. Products included under WILL Relieve and WILL Cool offer pain relief. The WILL Rest and WILL Soothe items deliver daily skin and muscle care. Will Perform launched in 1900 Target stores and online last December.

Will Perform Heads to Walmart

Today Serena and her tribe are headed to 3000 individually-selected Walmart stores with an offering of three key products also available at Walmart’s online platform. These products include the “Will Relieve Lidocaine Pain Relief Roll-On“, and the “Will Relieve Lidocaine Pain Relief Spray“, both priced at $13, along with the “Will Rest Nightly Muscle Recovery Lotion“, which is also priced at $13.

The marketing strategy behind Will Perform is to aim for a younger consumer and not only the pain relief aisle. And countless women of every age are ready to step up and buy Serena Williams products.

“Recovery has played an integral role in my performance and professional success. It’s a practice that can benefit anyone with an active lifestyle. That belief is what inspired us to develop a line of products that targets your muscles and can be incorporated into your daily self-care routine,” Williams said in a written statement.

Olympia Takes Up Golf

While Serena is busy making a new baby — which daughter Olympia said long ago had better be a girl, as she does not want a brother — her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, is teaching his daughter to play golf.

Like everything else that Olympia does — including making cupcakes — she’s simply marvelous at it.

Update: Apparently, Olympia has reconsidered her position and she is absolutely thrilled to be a big sister to either a girl or a boy baby. Serena shares this moment of telling Olympia that she’s not fat, but having a baby, from a New York hotel suite the day of the recent Met Gala, May 1, 2023.
