Elizaveta Porodina Captures 'The Nomad' with Jena Goldsack for Conde Nast Traveller UK AOC Fashion

AOC is a huge fan of photographer Elizaveta Porodina’s [IG] surreal themes and imagery. Late in 2021, I asked myself the question of whether or not her images might become repetitive and stale. With a blockbuster first quarter body of work, Porodina’s images answered that AOC question by delivering new high-voltage, creative twists that keep her visual momentum fresh.

Just now I saw these new images from the Russian artist, photographer and clinical psychologist for the February 2022 Conde Nast Traveller UK. Reviewing Porodina’s work in January, I asked myself what ‘normal’ [bad word in reference to such a visionary talent] would look like from this big-wings artist.

This fashion story with model Jena Goldsack as ‘The Nomad’ answers my question. In particular the lead image here with the umbrella answers my question of an image that I immediately knew was hers — and yet it is simplified against her ubiquituous fashion work.

When I think of Elizaveta Porodina’s artistic mind and vision, Walt Whitman’s poem ‘Song of the Open Road’ comes to mind.
