Arlenis Sosa, lensed by Xevi Muntané in ‘La Isla, Bonita’ for Harper’s Bazaar Spain, March 2011 pays tribute to Madonna’s third studio album 1987 ‘True Blue’ featuring ‘La Isla Bonita’ which was the first Madonna song to have a Spanish influence with arrangements of Cuban drums, Spanish guitar, maracas, harmonicas and a mix of synthesized and real drumming.

Leticia Riestra styles Arlenis Sosa in Missioni, Versace and Salvatore Ferragamo, reminding us that the lyrics of ‘La Isla, Bonita’ reference the beauty of Latin people.

Madonna has kept the song alive, performing it on her ‘Sticky and Sweet Tour’, the biggest-grossing music tour in history.
