Helen Mirren: A Smart Sensuality, Sweet Talkin' Dame(s)

Helen Mirren is a double dame. Forget the old and fussy definition of a dame, as an older woman running a household.

I’m speaking of the Urban Dictionary definition of ‘dame’, the hip guy’s definition:

1) A class, beautiful one. The type one can only dream of going out with. Ex: Halle Berry’s a dame.

2) An attractive woman who a guy wants to get to know. Often considered offensive by the females, unless you’re from another century. Ex: Holy mother of Pearl, look at that fine dame over there …

Trust me, Helen Mirren relishes being a dame. And now she has another new title: Dame Comander of the British Empire. Ooh lala!

New York Art World Makes Historic Flight South to Havana Art Biennial

Agence France-Presse reports that American art dealers may be moving faster than President Obama to reestablish relations with Cuba. The tenth Havana Biennial, which begins March 28, will welcome three hundred artists from fifty-four countries—including some galleries from the US.
