Dear Joe. I'm collecting my thoughts on what to say to you, but Anita, Gloria and Hillary are on my mind right now. You said yesterday how much you like Dick Cheney and the Republicans. I want you to know how absolutely NERVOUS and DISTRUSTFUL you are making me feel about you.
There's nothing worse for women than a bunch of Bible-toting men in any party, and you admit, Joe -- in your heart -- that you accept the Biblical version of events. You said it three weeks ago when the media-celebrity Pope Francis was rocking the East Coast. One Supreme Court Justice is enough for you, Joe Biden! And don't kid yourself, Sir. We have just begun to fight! If you run, this battle becomes epic and deeply personal, in a way it isn't with Bernie Sanders! (We will) Never Forget! ~ Anne Enke

Clearly HIllaryMen had a similar response. Many of us have been very frustrated with Joe Biden's increasingly apparent need to keep the entire Democratic party on pins and needles while he pondered his decision about running. In this particularly good week for Hillary, Joe Biden was increasingly becoming a spoiler in waiting. The Vice President pushed my buttons when he suggested that people like me were bullying him . . . and he would not be bullied. For those of us who have exhibited enormous patience and respect for Joe, his accusations were a bit much.

And then yesterday, all hell began to break lose, as Joe Biden leveled one aggressive comment after another against HIllary Clinton, while simultaneously telling the nation how much he personally likes Dick Cheney and Republicans.  

I got up this morning deciding to take the gloves off, and admittedly Gloria Steinem got me going with her new book. As always HillaryMen was already in the groove.

 Not that I don't love our current president, I just feel that it's Hillary time.  People are like ‘OK, we need a president that we can play Scrabble and Celebrity with,’ but that’s not who’s gonna solve your problems. You need someone that’s gonna take it serious.

PETA Launches Anti-Angora Campaign Against Free People & Urban Outfitters

In August 2015 PETA issued a graphic report on Argentina-based, wool-supplier farm Ovis 21. The farm was a major supplier to Patagonia and also Stella McCartney, who dropped them immediately. The title of the report: 'Lambs Skinned Alive, Throats Slit, Tails Cut Off' was confirmed by Patagonia's subsequent, at once investigation, and the company also cut its ties to Ovis 21.

PETA issued a disturbing look into Chinese angora-wool farms, undermining a worldwide view that the rabbit-based product was obtained without farming the animals. As a result dozens of retailers including H&M, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, QVC and more stopped using angora wool. Anthropologie, too, stopped using angora wool as a result of the PETA report, but sister company Free People didn't get the message

Today, PETA announced a campaign against Free People, sold at its parent company's stores Urban Outfitters.  The New York Post reports that last week all 'angora' products were removed from the company's online website.

Actor, influencer and women’s rights activist Salma Hayek stepped up for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race.

“We are one of the largest, youngest, and fastest-growing groups in the United States of America,” Hayek wrote in announcing her support of Hillary. “We deserve a candidate who respects the contributions we have made to this country and understands how important it is that our community continues to thrive, all while treating us con dignidad y respeto.”

Latina reports that Hayek’s email also said:

“We cannot let hate and discrimination determine the outcome of this election,” Hayek said. “We owe it to the hard-working Latinos that came before us, to ourselves and to our children, to show the people who unfairly label us as criminals and speak down to us that our community is strong, meaningful and incredibly powerful.”

Good morning. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. And especially for this occasion, a remarkable event that we are celebrating together. I am so glad that Chelsea and I could be part of it. I thank you for that invitation.

I was thinking, as Chelsea was speaking, how unpredictable, even serendipitous it turned out to be that we ended up at Foundry. Some of you may remember it was not too long after the inauguration. It was a Sunday. We were already getting kind of stir-crazy, and so we thought, “Let’s go to church.” Now, this was a long time ago — 1993. There had been a big storm in Washington. The drifting snow was stacked in the streets and on the sides. We had the idea that we would find a Methodist church and walk from the White House. I don’t know who was there that day. Some of you were very, very kind in bringing us in. This was the time before metal detectors and all of the hyper-security that we live with today. We just walked out of the White House followed by some bewildered Secret Service agents and made our way to church. And from that moment until this, we have always felt so welcome.

Chelsea has just described how much Foundry meant to her, and I can only echo that as her mother who saw how embraced she felt here in this congregation. This community — because indeed that’s what it is — was a place where we could worship, study, contemplate, be of service, get some good pastoral advice, and step outside all the commotion of life in the White House and Washington. That was very, very precious to us. Here we were, not “the First Family” — we were just our family. And we relished and cherished that time. We always have felt part of the Foundry family. …

As I was listening to Chelsea and remembering those early weeks and months here in Washington for us, and how thrilled I was that she found so much support here, I of course thought about my own Methodist church growing up in Park Ridge, Illinois, where I had the same kind of experience.

I am a Methodist both by birth and by choice. I was born into a Methodist family — parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, claiming to go all the way back to the coalfields hearing the Wesleys preach. Now, as with so much inherited family lore, I am sure the press will dive on that and try to figure it out. All I can tell you is what my grandparents told me." Read on.

2016 Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was on the fundraising move Sunday, attending two fundraisers, Hillary joined a pancake breakfast at the home of Susan and Alan Patricoff in East Hampton, joined by daughter Chelsea and granddaughter Charlotte.

The superstar and global women’s rights activist will bring her populist brand of feminism to Central Park as Chime for Change, founded by Gucci (a Kerring company lead by the Pinault family), Selma Hayek Pinault and Beyonce join the fourth annual Global Citizen concert in Central Park on September 26.

Concert goers can’t buy their way into the concert (although we imagine the beautiful people do). Actually VIP tickets are available at Ticketmaster. Instead, Global Citizen runs a lottery,based on taking action for change in America and around the world.

Breaking news reports say that one of Cecil’s eight cubs has been killed by another male lion. Reports just published in the UK say:

“Lions practice infanticide – the male looking to take over and mate with the three lionesses would have crushed the cub’s skull as he looked to stake his claim.

“The lionesses fended off his advances but it is unlikely they can continue to protect the cubs for much longer.”

“Jericho has now taken over another pride and has been seen with other females,” a source at the park confirmed.

“We don’t know if Jericho would return to help the cubs if they were attacked again
