Alessandra Ambrosio Sizzles In Lascana S/S 2018 Lingerie & Swim Campaign By Tim Petersen

Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, recently split from ex-fiance Jamie Mazur, sizzles in German lingerie and swimwear brand Lascana's Spring/Summer 2018 campaign. Ambrosio is lensed by Tim Petersen in Malibu, California, as part of her new post Victoria's Secret life. The Brazilian beauty remains listed as a VS Angel on the brand's website, but she is on record, posting to Instagram, a loving goodbye with confirmation that the Fall 2017 Shanghai show was her last VS fashion show and she has hung up her wings.

Victoria's Secret's low-key (translated no) response to Ambrosio's departure may be connected to the challenging retail climate for the brand. Parent company L Brands stock price is down almost 40% this year and the PINK brand, which accounts for 40% of Victoria's Secret sales, is giving investors heart burn, amid signs that it's also faltering in the current retail climate.

Many of us feel that VS and PINK are out of sync (for some time) with the brand visions of its customers -- and that's before we discuss Amazon, stagnant wages, too many stores, boutique micro-brands with big sales revenue, and a host of other retail challenges.

Confusion Abounds In Joy Reid's Alleged Homophobic Comments & FBI Investigation Into Her Blog Hack

MSNBC host Joy Reid is again embroiled in controversy with Twitter user @Jamie_Maz about several homophobic posts a decade or more old from her now defunct blog, the Reid Report. When @Jamie_Maz first called Reid out in December 2017, she apologized for certain posts that were mild on the hot sauce menu, but clearly embarrassing given Reid's current success as a first-rate, informed and articulate progressive TV personality.

This example of an alleged Joy Reid comment, tweeted by @Jamie_Maz gets to a fundamental argument between in the 2016 Democratic primary. While he is vague about when the statement was written, this opinion attributed to Reid remains an argument today, even though Democrats are chilled out and fully committed to gay rights, gay marriage, gays in the military and all other gay rights. Today the argument continues around purity test topics like abortion and gun control.
